What is Sunlitt?
Sunlitt is an app that helps people understand the sun’s movement and shadows in a beautifully designed, fun-to-use interface.
It’s for anyone planning a photoshoot, designing a space, or just chasing sunlight. Sunlitt makes sun tracking quick, clear, and enjoyable.
From sunrise to sunset—and everything in between—Sunlitt offers precise details on the sun’s path, golden and blue hours, twilight phases, and more.
Sun data is computed locally, and most features work offline, delivering accurate, real-time insights even in remote areas—all while respecting user privacy.

Key features
Monolitt
A fun 3D view of the sun’s path and shadows, centered around the Monolitt—Sunlitt’s signature cube-shaped object. Use the sliders to explore any date and time, and tilt your device to view the scene from different angles.
Shadow Map
Visualize the sun’s movement anywhere in the world, overlaid on satellite or terrain maps. Switch between 2D and 3D views, and see real-time, accurate shadows from buildings and more.
Landform Shadows
Sunlitt’s Shadow Map also includes natural terrain shadows: hills, valleys, and mountain ranges cast realistic shade on the map layer, so you can plan with the landscape in mind, not just city blocks.
Augmented Reality
See the sun’s position and seasonal paths in your real-world environment using AR.
You can even place the Monolitt into your surroundings to observe real-time shadow movement—great for planning photos, outdoor setups, or just understanding the light.Offline Support
Sunlitt works offline and computes sun data locally, giving you full access to sun and shadow insights even when you’re off the grid.
Available on All Apple Devices
Sunlitt runs on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro—with support for Lock & Home Screen widgets, Live Activity, App Intents, and much more.
Why Sunlitt?
Sunlitt was named an Apple Design Award Finalist in 2024 in the Visuals and Graphics category, recognized for its thoughtful design and immersive, cross-device experience.
